Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can self-refer and book directly online or by phone. You are welcome to share your report with your GP afterwards.

How much does it cost, and which insurers do you accept?
£235 all-inclusive, with no hidden fees. We accept AXA Health, AXA Global, Healix and WPA, and can provide an itemised invoice for your claim.

How quickly will I get my results?
You receive instant verbal results from your clinician at the end of the appointment, and your written report within 24 hours by secure email.

Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes — free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Within 24 hours a cancellation fee may apply.

What is a dynamic hernia assessment?
During a dynamic hernia scan, the sonographer asks you to perform a Valsalva manoeuvre (bear down as if straining) while scanning. This increases intra-abdominal pressure and makes a hernia visible on ultrasound even when it is not obvious at rest.

Is my appointment confidential?
Yes. Appointments and reports are handled in full compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and nothing is shared with your GP or any third party without your written consent.
