About This Package

What Is the Silver Health Screen?

The Silver Health Screening Blood Test is our most popular package — a comprehensive assessment that goes significantly beyond the Bronze tier to include a full hormone panel, inflammation markers, and additional cardiovascular risk markers. It is designed for adults who want a thorough understanding of their health across multiple organ systems, including hormonal and metabolic health.

Every result in the Silver panel is reviewed by a Sonoworld clinician before it is released. Your written report sets each marker against its reference range and flags anything that falls outside it, so you can see exactly where you stand. The report is yours to keep and to share with your GP or a specialist.

The Silver package is recommended for:
  • Adults experiencing fatigue, mood changes, or libido changes (hormonal assessment included).
  • Anyone with elevated blood pressure, cholesterol, or blood sugar on previous tests.
  • Patients with a family history of cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
  • Those seeking a comprehensive annual health review with a clinician-reviewed report.
  • Anyone who wants to understand their inflammation levels and cardiovascular risk in depth.
  • Anyone wanting hormone and inflammation markers that are not routinely tested by the NHS.
What’s Included

Silver Package — Full Biomarker List

Everything in the Bronze package, plus:
Inflammation

hsCRP & Inflammation Markers

High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) is an independent predictor of cardiovascular events and a marker of systemic inflammation. Elevated hsCRP is associated with increased risk of heart attack, stroke, and metabolic disease.

Hormones

Full Sex Hormone Panel

Testosterone (total and free), oestradiol, FSH, and LH. Identifies hormonal imbalances causing fatigue, low libido, mood disturbance, fertility concerns, and symptoms of perimenopause or andropause.

Adrenal & Stress

DHEA-S & Cortisol

DHEA-S and cortisol assess adrenal function and the body's stress response. Abnormal levels are associated with chronic fatigue, immune dysfunction, weight gain, and adrenal insufficiency.

Nutritional

Folate, Homocysteine & Minerals

Folate, homocysteine, magnesium, and zinc. Elevated homocysteine is an independent cardiovascular risk factor. Magnesium and zinc deficiencies are common and associated with fatigue, muscle cramps, and immune dysfunction.

Cancer Markers

PSA (Men) or CA-125 (Women)

PSA (prostate-specific antigen) for men and CA-125 for women. These are screening markers — not diagnostic tests — that may indicate the need for further investigation when elevated in the appropriate clinical context.

Clinical Review

Clinician-Reviewed Written Report

Every marker in your Silver panel is reviewed by a Sonoworld clinician before your results are released. Your written report sets each value against its reference range, flags anything outside the expected range, and explains what that finding means in the context of your history.

Also included (from Bronze):
  • Full blood count (FBC) · Liver function tests · Kidney function (U&Es, eGFR)
  • Fasting glucose & HbA1c · Full lipid profile · Thyroid function (TSH)
  • Vitamin D & B12 · Iron studies & ferritin · Uric acid
  • Clinician-reviewed written report
Preparation

How to Prepare for Your Silver Blood Test

Please follow these instructions for accurate results
  • Fast for 10–12 hours before your appointment (water is permitted and encouraged).
  • Continue all prescribed medications unless your GP has specifically advised otherwise.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours before the test (affects cortisol and inflammatory markers).
  • Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before the test.
  • For sex hormone testing, morning appointments are preferred (testosterone peaks in the morning).
  • Wear a short-sleeved or loose-sleeved top for easy venous access.
  • Bring a list of any current medications, supplements, and hormonal contraceptives.
How It Works

Your Silver Screening Appointment

1Clinical Health History

Our clinician takes a detailed health history including your symptoms, risk factors, family history, medications, and health goals to ensure results are interpreted in the context of your individual clinical picture.

2Blood Sample Collection

A trained phlebotomist collects your blood sample — typically 5–6 tubes for the Silver package. The procedure takes approximately 10–15 minutes in a comfortable, private clinical room.

3Laboratory Analysis

Your sample is sent to an accredited laboratory and the full Silver panel is processed within 48 hours. You do not need to return to the clinic while your sample is being analysed.

4Clinician Review & Written Report

Every result is reviewed by a Sonoworld clinician before release. You receive a written report setting out each marker against its reference range, with commentary on any value outside the expected range and guidance on whether further investigation is indicated.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What will my Silver results report contain?

Your report lists all 30+ markers alongside their reference ranges, so you can see exactly where each result sits. A Sonoworld clinician reviews the full panel before it is released and flags any value outside the expected range, with commentary on what it may indicate and whether further investigation is advisable.

How soon will I receive my Silver results?

Your sample is processed by an accredited laboratory within 48 hours. Once the full panel is back, a Sonoworld clinician reviews every marker before your written report is released to you. Hormone assays occasionally take a little longer, and we will let you know if that applies to your panel.

Is the Silver package suitable for women going through perimenopause?

Yes. The Silver package includes a full sex hormone panel (oestradiol, FSH, LH, testosterone) which is particularly relevant for women experiencing perimenopausal symptoms such as irregular periods, hot flushes, mood changes, and fatigue. Your written report sets these results against their reference ranges, giving you and your GP a clear basis for discussing next steps, including whether hormone replacement therapy may be appropriate for you.

How is the Silver package different from a standard NHS blood test?

A standard NHS blood test typically covers 3–5 markers (e.g. FBC, TSH, glucose) and results are reviewed by a GP who may not have time for a detailed discussion. The Silver package covers 30+ biomarkers including hormone panels and inflammation markers that are not routinely tested by the NHS, and every result is reviewed by a Sonoworld clinician before you receive your written report.

Can I share my results with my GP?

Yes. You will receive a full written report that you can share with your GP or any specialist. Our clinician can also write a referral letter if further investigation is recommended.

Should I upgrade to Gold?

The Gold package is recommended if you want the most comprehensive assessment available — including advanced cardiovascular risk markers (ApoB, Lp(a)), insulin resistance testing, a full thyroid panel and a comprehensive cancer markers panel. It is particularly suited to patients with a strong family history of cardiovascular disease or cancer, or those who want the fullest possible picture of their health.
